HISTORY AND MISSION STATEMENT


HISTORY

The College of Chiropractic Orthopedists (Canada) was sanctioned as an official body by the Canadian Chiropractic Association in October, 1994. Chiropractic orthopedics is recognized as a specialty by the licensing bodies in B.C., Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, Nova Scotia, P.E.I., and Newfoundland-Labrador.


Mission Statement for the College of Chiropractic Orthopedists (Canada): 

1.  To assist the chiropractic profession as a consultant in the specialty of chiropractic orthopedics.

2.  To serve and promote the interests of chiropractic orthopedics within the chiropractic profession, with other health care professions, with government agencies, with the insurance industry, with the legal profession, and with other industries.

3.  To promote education programs and research which advance accurate neuromusculoskeletal diagnosis.

4.  Advance the highest ethical standard of chiropractic orthopedic management.

5.  C.C.O.(C). empowers its members to be upholders of this mission statement.
